The first page illustrates the neighborhoods of Avondale, Graymont, North Birmingham, West End, Elyton, Pratt City, Ensley, and Wylam in relationship to Birmingham. Some points of interest include the Georgia and Alabama train lines, Terminal Station, Saint Vincent's Hospital, the ball park and Howard College.
